Overview
Commissioned by foodservice media publisher Dewberry Redpoint and we’re in our 5th year attending the LACA Main Event (Local Authority Catering Association) in July. A full 3-day conference/exhibition held at Hilton Birmingham Metropole, encapsulating everything catering and school food related to public, private schools and academies.
The Brief
To capture on DSLR cameras and video over 3 days the entire event which has huge attendees and footfall. In addition, to ensure organisations attending were well represented such as Craft Guild of Chefs. We needed to continuously upload prepped images to our portal allowing the Dewberry Repoint media team to access content, download allowing them to use on websites and for social media.
A crew of 3 were using Canon, Sony and Black Magic for video, capturing content over the three days. A schedule was followed and images uploaded to folders. It was important that a photographer was at each of the seminars and specific events and competitions. The evenings were a combination of fun-packed but also included a black tie evening with awards.
Post-event involved producing an overview of the 3 days together with sound-bites.
