The Brief
To photograph The Caterer’s new Hotelier of the Year 2025, Franck Arnold, Managing Director of the Savoy Hotel, London.
Adrian Franklin was commissioned to photograph Franck Arnold at the Savoy Hotel without anyone finding out!
The shoot involved various locations throughout the hotel, including the suite where Claude Monet painted the river and various bridges from the balcony, including Waterloo Bridge and Charing Cross Bridge.
Adrian shot using exclusively natural daylight, which enabled fantastic photography when it comes to portraiture, providing a great feel. Franck gave him plenty of time to explore various locations and to discover which shots worked the most and options between landscape and portrait.
Outcome
Images have been used throughout the press and events.
The Hotelier of the Year Lunch followed a few weeks later at the Ned Hotel (previous Hotelier of the Year) location when it was announced the Franck Arnold was the New Hotelier of the Year.
