We at Hospitality Media are delighted to be supporting Hospitality Action’s fundraising for its Summer Challenge, raising valuable funds for its people. We plan on running/walking to our studio in Penshurst, crossing the River Medway twice, across the fields, spotting buzzards, red kites and kestrels and hearing the skylarks and possibly the cuckoo! A strong case for not using the car wouldn’t you agree?

Since the dark days of 2020 when the Covid Pandemic was at its peak, Hospitality Action’s annual summer challenge has become one of the hottest mass participation events in the hospitality calendar, attracting thousands of participants and raising hundreds of thousands of pounds along the way. Our challenge brings people together united in support of those facing tough times.
We’re back for 2023, and we need your support.
The challenge is huge, but the concept is simple. We need as many businesses, teams and individual people as possible to raise sponsorship and cover 75,000 miles in just 11 days.
Whether it’s getting sponsored to complete your local park run, smashing a personal best on the bike, embarking on an epic dog walk, or even organising a company-wide sports day. Every penny raised, and every mile travelled will help us support an industry in crisis.
We know times are hard for every individual and business in the sector, but we truly believe that raising just £2 per mile is achievable if we all pull together.
Now’s the time to transform lives.
First it was the pandemic and now it’s the cost-of-living crisis destroying the lives and livelihoods of hospitality workers and their families. We know our industry will recover, but in 2023 more people are struggling than at any other time in the last 50 years and we’ve got to try our best to help.
We can only succeed with the help of hospitality suppliers, operators, teams and individuals all pulling together to go the distance.
