Overview
Our client in The Potteries, Stoke-on-Trent required filming for their client in the US, a cookware site but as a generic piece about English ceramics.
Brief
To film the production process of ceramics at their site in the Potteries. Also an interview and VO explaining key elements of their manufacturing process, incorporating their USP’s.
Production
A combination of filming techniques was necessary to create interesting content. This was achieved used different angles, lenses and Slo-mo. There are so many elements to the process, however they all needed capturing such as the glaze application and firing. In addition the comprehensive quality control that takes place.
A crew of 2 using a Canon C300 and a Sony. We worked across different types of lighting which was challenging to film. The most challenging part of this project however was finding somewhere to stay for a couple of nights as everywhere was still closed!
Outcome
Our client was delighted with the footage that was transferred to them. The footage was transferred via WeTransfer on the day from the factory setting and the editing was carried out in the US. Trailer clips were created by Made In, in advance of the video being released. The video was published before the release date of their new tableware range.
